Her time in academia has led her to also pursue a career in higher education, serving as the Registration Coordinator at the CPA Atlantic School of Business.
A proud graduate of Dalhousie University, Kate studied History and Journalism, laying a strong foundation for her career in the world of words. Her passion for learning and honing her craft continues as she pursues a Master’s Degree in Education at Athabasca University, complemented by a graduate certificate in Editing from Simon Fraser University.
Kate’s commitment to editorial excellence is evidenced by her membership and involvement with in Editors Canada, where she has successfully passed their rigorous standards of practice exam. This achievement underscores her dedication to maintaining the highest professional standards in her work.
During her time at Dalhousie, Kate’s leadership and editorial skills shone through as she served two terms as Editor-in-Chief for the Undergraduate History Department Journal, Pangaea. She also contributed her expertise for one term on the journal’s editorial board, further developing her ability to guide and refine academic writing.
With years of experience as an academic editor, Kate has honed her skills in refining scholarly works across various disciplines. Her expertise extends beyond academia, as she has also been published in both local and national publications, including Today’s Bride, showcasing her versatility as a writer and editor.
